Are Antibiotics Safe to Use Against Coronavirus?

If you have antibiotics lying around at home, it is safe not have them as a treatment for coronavirus. Because COVID-19 is a virus, antibiotics will not lessen the impact of it. One must never take in antibiotics that haven't been prescribed specifically by your physician. Self-medicating on an antibiotic can worsen your condition if not done right.

Further, the same goes for antibacterial hand washes, cleaning products and hand sanitizers, as these might not be effective in ridding the virus on surfaces or your hands based on similar reasons. Keep in mind that hand sanitizers containing at least 60% alcohol or those with at least 300 parts per million of hypochlorous acid are effective at killing viruses, because these are usually labeled as antiviral.
