Sean "Dakota" Anderson
Global Health Ambassador
The very talented and inspirational Sean ‘Dakota’ Anderson, also known for his role as “Muggs” in the HBO hit series “The Wire,” is a native of Philadelphia, PA, and a graduate of Temple University Fox School of Business. Dakota also completed his undergraduate studies at Temple University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Marketing, while minoring in exercise science and kinesiology. While at Temple University, ‘Dakota’ was a member of the Temple University football team, playing the positions of running back and fullback; after which he pursued a career as a Professional Football player, in the Canadian and National Football Leagues.
‘Dakota’ has always had a passion for education, fitness and helping others. After retiring from Professional football, he redirected his energy and focus, and decided to teach physical education and health to elementary, middle and high school students; which he did for seven years, while also working part-time as an Athletic Strength and Conditioning Trainer, working with both professional and amateur athletes. ‘Dakota’ is a partner at American Sports Kidz, a company focused on sports development and promoting a healthy active lifestyle for today’s youth.
‘Dakota’ has had a keen interest in natural approaches to training and healthy living since high school. He continues to live his life with this philosophy.
